India’s growth is the fastest in the developed world and it is also growing fastest in countries like Turkey, according to data released by Google today.
The company has released the annual world map showing the country’s growth over the last four years.
The growth of India has been particularly impressive in recent years.
The country is now one of the fastest-growing economies in the Asia-Pacific region, overtaking China and South Korea, which both have seen a similar pace of growth.
While India is still struggling to find its feet in the global economy, the country is increasingly finding success in international markets.
In 2016, the Indian economy grew faster than China, the United States and the European Union combined, according the World Bank.
“India has been a leader in globalisation and digitalisation for decades, but it is now becoming a global centre for innovation,” said Nandan Nilekani, India’s minister of information and communications technology.
