A Swedish language book for young people that was available only to Swedish-speaking students was translated into many languages and has become a viral hit among Swedes who use it to learn to speak the language.
The book, The Complete Swedish Language by Håkan Kivir, was released in the U.S. in May 2016 and has sold over 200,000 copies.
It was originally translated by American publisher Penguin Random House into French, German and Spanish.
The Swedish-language version of the book has been available in English and French since May.
Kivir said the book was a big hit for him and his wife.
“We were very happy to hear that the Swedish version of The Complete Spanish and German Language was a hit, as well as the Swedish-French translation of The Comprehensive French Language, which is in English,” he said in a statement.
Kiva Kivira, a Swedish translation consultant who helped with the translation, said that people often asked if the translation was in English or Swedish.
“I can understand why people are so eager to find the Swedish edition, as the book is a fantastic resource for young and old,” she said.
