Translators of Japanese words need to be more than a Google Translator, says Shigeo Ito, an academic linguist at Tokyo University.
“The job of translators is not just to translate words but to interpret them.”
So Ito and his team have developed a tool called the Translator Analyzer, a platform that enables the translation of Japanese into English and vice versa.
It is based on a research paper by Youri Chikuma, a professor of linguistics at Tokyo’s Hitotsubashi University.
Ito’s work has been published in the journal Language.
The new tool allows the translator to compare the meanings of words in two languages, then convert them to English using Google’s Translate service.
For example, the Japanese word kawai (crown) can be translated to the English word “kawah” in Google Translates.
That’s not easy, because many Japanese words end in kaw, which means crown.
Google Translated words are often short and have many kanji (character symbols) like “k” and “e.”
Google also sometimes removes words like “b” and/or “a” from words, and adds “-o” instead of “-e.”
“This is why there are so many kanjis in Japanese, because these words are commonly used by the Japanese people,” says Ito.
“When the translator does that, it makes the words less easy to read and it makes them more difficult to understand.”
This is what Google Translations uses.
“This gives them the best of both worlds,” says Chikumi.
Google says the Translate Analyzer is the most comprehensive and complete translation engine available for Japanese. “
But I think the big advantage of the translator is that the translations are easy to understand,” he adds.
Google says the Translate Analyzer is the most comprehensive and complete translation engine available for Japanese.
Its algorithms analyze the words and translate them to the appropriate English word.
“A good translation is a good translation,” says it.
The tool can be used on Google’s own translation site, but also on Google Translation’s website.
Google does offer its own translation service, Translate Assistant, but Ito says its translation tools are much more advanced than Google Translsators.
“Translator Assistant is not perfect,” says Buto.
It can’t be used with Google Translocator, because the software is based in Google’s servers.
“We are working on improving Translator Assistant,” says Google.
“If we want to make the best translation possible, we should be using Google,” says Theodorakis.
Google has been criticized for using Japanese language translations as a way to compete with Google’s native languages.
The TranslatorAnalyzer is based partly on a paper by Buto and others from Japan’s National Institute of Japanese Culture.
Google did not respond to a request for comment.
